Russia: Storehouse (redone)

( Technically it was Britain, not Russia, but regardless... )

In the editor a template marked as "Storehouse" drew my attention. I decided to play around with it by changing the height map, adding buildings, fences, etc.
I couldn't stand the vanilla dirt road spots that looked like a tank brigade or a herd of bulldozers just passed through. So I concentrated my efforts on creating realistic truck tracks.

Multiple sub-templates I consequently created for this encounter managed to occupy my attention for some time.

But it wasn't enough. So I decided to create another variant.

With more buildings, asphalt road, barb wire and so on.

Now it started becoming real fun...

...especially in situations when several trucks are transporting explosives or fuel - with one carefully aimed bullet one can literally destroy the whole place ( I tweaked the radius, penetrating ability and some other properties for those items ). Very satisfying!

Hope you keep working on this modification. Looks great!

Not at the moment. But there is something cooking at the "Strategy Core" forums. Check it out.

Hey mate. Sorry to bother you. But after I installed your mod, it cause my game to crash at the beginning. Can you have a look what is wrong? My game is a V1.1 S3.

I seems that your mod replaced one of the original file which was bigger than your replacement.

Thanks in advance for any help.

- Make sure you are using v 2.2 of the mod
- that the mod is installed correctly
- You are not using any other mods (or add mod)
- You database (original) hasn't been modified (in case you fiddled with the editor and accidentally changed something in the original)

The mod is not supposed to replace any original game files. It is in a separate folder that should stay separate. Again make sure you installed it correctly. Unpack it in the main S^3 directory

Thanks for reply me, mate.
It's working now. I can see it from the custom game option now.
But when can I get all those clothes you made? Do I have to wait until I get to an higher level?
And where can I get all those level you made?? In random encounters??

I am glad you got it to work :)

The clothes are available for purchase from the base trader once his inventory becomes accessible (after the first 2 missions). The "Castle Linden" RE encounter is in Germany (next to Bad Tolz).

Thanks mate.
What about my saved game? If I started them before I install your mod, would my saved game still has your mod? Or do I have to start a new game from the beginning?

I am currently still in the early game, I just finished my 3rd mission. So far I haven't got your clothes in the shop.

You'd need to activate the mod and start a new game for the new content to take effect.
Well, you could try the AddMod utility to add a mod to a saved game but I'd be the wrong person to ask about it as I've never used it myself.

Just the castle so far.
Waiting for v 2.2 feedback from users before moving forward.

You got my vote. It is great~! I am bored at play the same encounters over and over again. Your fresh new maps will give us a fresh new experience.

By the way, do you know those "special encounters". So far I only encountered the bank one in German. Do you know where are others? And if I can do them whenever I want?

Hey Blunter, I just went here for the first time and I absolutely cannot abstain from remarking that "Very satisfying" in this context must be the biggest understatement I read in the last few years. Now what about randomly delayed secondary explosions? Pretty please...

Hey BlunterII, are you still doing awesome stuff nowadays? I'd like to learn modding H&S and have some questions, but all the forums died down and the only one still existing on strategycore does not accept new members.

Are you still arround and creative?
